The Gridiron Greats is conducting a public fundraising drive for former Kansas City Chief, Sherrill Headrick.
Funds raised will be used to purchase his cancer medication which costs $4,000 per month and is not covered by insurance.
Headrick, was a middle linebacker who played college football at TCU and professional football for the Dallas Texans which then became the Kansas City Chiefs. He has had over 15 surgeries for football related injuries and is now battling a terminal cancer that has spread from his liver to his adrenal glands and right lung; chemotherapy can not help him. Medication will provide him a few extra months, or a year, at a cost of $4,000 per month which is not covered by insurance. read more
In addition the Gridiron Greats public fundraising drive Headrick will also be a recipient of funds from the active players “ Gridiron Guardian Sunday initiative.
