Gridiron Greats, Hall Of Fame Players and NFL Legends Coming Together For New Initiative to

Benefit Retired Players In Need

Earl Campbell, Lawrence Taylor, Barry Sanders, Dick Butkus, Ted Hendricks, Kellen Winslow, Dan Hampton, Fred Biletnikoff, Anthony Munoz, Michael Irvin, Jim McMahon, Jan Stenerud, Eric Dickerson, Marshall Faulk, Franco Harris, Deacon Jones,  Mike Ditka, Gale Sayers

and Jerry Kramer are among legends who will participate.

 

Superstar online auction & other initiatives benefiting retired players to take place nowthrough the Super Bowl week

 

Phoenix, AZ—The Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund has announced that a group of Hall Of Fame Players and NFL Legends will come together for a project  made possible by Miller Beer that will raise money which will be used to provide financial aid and social services to retired players who are in dire need though the Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund.  The initiative will also to raise awareness about post football related issues facing retired players and the catastrophic situations which many retired players face.

 

In the past few months, many NFL active players participated in a grass roots initiative where players donated a portion of their game checks to the Gridiron Greats to help retired players; it is now the retired players who will step forward to help their brothers during a fundraising project that runs form now through the Super Bowl.  More information is available at gridirongreats.org. 

 

This project will include several elements and is being made possible by Miller Beer. Players participating  include:  Earl Campbell, Lawrence Taylor, Barry Sanders, Dick Butkus, Ted Hendricks, Kellen Winslow, Dan Hampton, Fred Bitetnikoff, Anthony Munoz, Michael Irvin, Jim McMahon, Jan Stenerud, Eric Dickerson, Marshall Faulk, Franco Harris, Deacon Jones , Mike Ditka, Gale Sayers , Jerry Kramer and over 50 others.

 

The Miller Lite - Gridiron Greats fundraising and awareness initiative will kick off this week and run through Super Bowl Sunday and is expected to raise in excess of $100,000.

 

The project will bring many of the Gridiron Greats to Arizona during Super Bowl week.  Elements in the fundraising initiative include:  Product-Sold Donations made by Miller Lite, Meet and Greets at retail locations, national online Gridiron Greats auction featuring one of a kind celebrity experiences including an African Safari  trip with Hall Of Fame players, dinner with Mike Ditka and 50 Legends at a VIP dinner, and memorabilia signed by NFL Legends. All proceeds will benefit retired players through the Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund.  Starting January 14th, some of the auction items can be previewed at gridirongreats.org.
