• The following is a list of medical specialty services that will be available through Specialty Surgical Hospital of Arizona and their related physicians as part of the Gridiron Greats Medical referral program. The medical referral program will be available through the Gridiron Greats to retired NFL players in dire need who qualify and have little or no means to pay for medical procedures. Some players who qualify will not incur any cost for evaluations, procedures and treatments that may be available.

  • Complete orthopedic surgery with joint replacement and treatment of conditions of the hips and knees
  • Spine surgery, with emphasis on complex spine cases and “redo” spine cases
  • Neurosurgery, including placement of deep brain stimulators
  • Pain management, including epidural injections, pumps, and stimulators
  • General Surgery
  • Bariatric Surgery
  • Physical Therapy
  • Rehabilitation medicine
  • Other services of the hospital: Pulmonary, Cardiac, Anesthesia (these are ancillary in support of the main emphasis of the hospital which is complex issues).
