    GROUND BREAKING INITIATIVE TO BE ANNOUNCED 

            Regarding NFL retired player’s crisis

   NFL ACTIVE PLAYERS, MIKE DITKA- GRIDIRON GREATS PRESS CONFERENCE

 

WHAT: NFL current players will come forward to announce a ground breaking initiative which will address the catastrophic conditions many retired NFL players face due to the inadequate disability and benefits system provided by the National Football League Players Association.  Mike Ditka and Gale Sayers of the Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund will host a press conference at the request of group of active NFL players on Tuesday November 27th at 10:00 am at Mike Ditka’s Steakhouse in Chicago, Illinois.  Ditka and other members of his Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund will join the current players for the announcement of their initiative which has been created by an active player who is a nine year veteran of the NFL.

                                                                   

This is the first time an organized group of current NFL players will stand along side of retired players, speak out and take action regarding some of the issues faced by retirees. The group of active players along with Mike Ditka and Gale Sayers will also address the issues that are currently under investigation by the House Judiciary Committee about the NFLPA disability benefits system.
